The Myna Mahila Foundation economically empowers women in Mumbai’s slums by employing them to produce sanitary pads and lead health outreach. It promotes digital literacy, improves health-seeking behavior, and uses AI tools to provide accessible information on women’s health and family planning.
How Myna Mahila Works
Rebranding Myna Mahila
We honoured Myna Mahila’s legacy with a digital-first approach, expanding their color palette and using vibrant, local based illustrations. The redesigned website and collaterals reflect their innovation-driven presence. We wanted to ensure to reflect that while Myna is research driven and tech-enabled mission with it’s programmes, it is also empathetic, empowering, and locally rooted.

The Logo

We explored logo directions that encapsulated Myna’s core themes and values. Finally, the logo featuring the Myna bird with an open beak, symbolizing the ‘Chatty Myna’ and the brand’s mission to help women find their voice. It uses deep blue and a chatbox-inspired wing to reference their AI chatbot and their efforts to provide digital literacy to women in urban slums. The feminine pink from the older logo is retained in the wing and accents, preserving the brand’s legacy.

The website showcases the bold and vibrant brand language of Myna Mahila, using a clean, user-friendly design and real stories of women like Meena, Fatima, and Geeta to highlight journeys of achieving agency. The visual style emphasizes clarity, confidence, and warmth, while real imagery grounds the site in lived experience. Overall, the design balances professionalism with personality, making the site both impactful and easy to navigate.

After establishing Myna Mahila’s new design language we worked towards creating various collaterals for their admininstrative and social programmes. The idea was to maintain professionalism while also keeping the fun of the newly established brand language.

Myna Mahila came with us with the intention of rebranding themselves to better reflect their organisation and values they hold close. We worked on recreating the brand while also honouring their core concepts and what made them who they are. We created a memorable design language that could be translated to different varients; websites, business cards, social media posts, brochures.
